Our little love!

Ben and Ada both love this time together.

I'm guilty, I enjoy dressing her up.

Tummy time turned into tummy nap time... don't worry I was right there with her the whole time.

I walked in to check on her during her nap and she was raising her hand.  I seriously think she dreams about going to school.
Some of the things I have learned while being a mom:
1. The 5 S's really work and I love them.  She is one happy baby because of it!
2. Ben is the best when it comes to getting her to sleep in the evening.
3. Huggies Newborn diapers are not my friends - but Pampers and the Walmart brand are! (Target brand is the next experiment).
4.  The most important thing I've learned is that I have a lot to learn- and I love every minute of this learning process!

3 generations

Oops
This was the day Oma went back to California... sad day- but we were so glad she could come and spend 2 weeks with us.  Looking at these pictures is so much fun because I've always wanted a generations picture.  We've got to get a great-grandma in there so we can have 4 generations.  There have been a lot of times Ada will stretch her neck out and it reminds me of my mom (Oma) and well- now the tears come, so this blog entry is officially over.  Love you mom.  You are the best and I never understood your love as well as I do now having a sweet little girl of my own.

Ada Cheney

Ada was born August 24, 2011 and we couldn't be any happier than we are now.  Ben was able to take Wednesday through Tuesday off from work (which was part of his first and second week of school).  Mom came Tuesday and Ben went back to work on Wednesday.  Mom has kept on top of all the cleaning and organizing while she has been here.  She makes sure I drink enough and get some rest.  We love having her here and will miss her when she goes back to California.
Today we are watching the BYU football game and of course we had to find a blue dress and blue bow for her to wear on this special day.

Things we have loved about being parents:
1. Cuddling and kissing our sweet little girl.
2. Picking out an outfit for her to wear
3. Believe it or not- waking up to feed her at night
4. Singing to her
5. Watching her cute facial expressions
6. Cheering when we find that she pooped.
