Ben, by far, has the best co-workers in the world. They threw him a baby shower!!! It was a surprise!! This picture was sent to me while I was on my way to work via text from his mentor teacher. It's really no surprise that everyone loves him at work- but it was so cute that they thought of throwing him his own shower! The theme of the shower was a diaper theme, so here is what they gave us:
-542 diapers (which if we use 8 a day on average will last us 67 days)
-1,860 wipes (which if we use 16 a day these will last us 116 days)
We also were given a diaper cake, which we don't know how many diapers on it. We loved all the pink and purple hair bows and sippy cups. What a fun day for Ben (and me). We feel so loved down here in Texas and are so grateful to everyone who has really become like family to us!

27
Birthday Flowers
Dinner at the Tuscany inside the Marriot Hotel on the waterway (we used a Restaurant.com Coupon).
Ben's birthday card for me- "Just 27 of a thousand favorite memories of our life together". This was so much fun to read! He was so sweet to pin it up on our wall so I can read it over and over!

Gold Miners Daughter
Ben and I went to a play put on by the Conroe High School drama club. It was an interactive play for kids. Since we don't have any kids.. we borrowed some from our friends. We picked them up at their houses and drove to the high school to watch the short 40 minute play. It was an hilarious evening. We got compliments on how cute our family is... and I had to tell them they aren't ours. Ben is incredible with kids and sat with the boys while Sydney sat by me. We took our picture with Goldilocks and all the kids got autographs from all of the characters of the play. Thank you Housens and Schultzes for letting us borrow your kids!
Latest Prego Pic
Here I am at 25 weeks. Latest happenings: Baby Girl Cheney is moving A LOT more and Ben and I love it!
My lower back is not quite the same, and sometimes I have a hard time standing up- no biggy since I have a strong husband to help me get up off the couch. (I need to stretch more).
I basically LOVE being pregnant!!!
My belly button sticks out and the little kids at school point to it and think it is so funny.
Ben is the sweetest husband in the world. He seems to get sweeter and sweeter every day. He is taking such good care of me and is getting more and more excited each time he feels her kick him.
I've decided maternity pants are super comfortable, and I love not having to button or zip up anything anymore.
We have been super blessed with free things. All of the maternity clothes that I wear have been lent or given to me, (and I'm talking bags upon bags of clothes).
Free items as of late:
Pac n play
High Chair
Bouncer
Swing
Jumper thing
some diapers
box of baby girl clothes and shoes
baby bjorn
changing table
changing table pad x 2
and I think the list goes on. We feel so blessed! We haven't even had a baby shower yet- I think we just look like we are in need... so we are the recipients of a lot of charity. Oh- and a lady I visit teach brought ME dinner last night. How sweet are our friends?... seriously!

Dinner for you in a canoe
Happy Mother's Day! It was my first time as a mother (well she's still inside my belly, but that counts).
The day went like this:
I woke up to a pancake and bacon breakfast. Ben gave me a card that his 7th period class made and wrote for me. Then he gave me a bouquet of hearshy kiss roses that he and the Young Men at church made for their Wednesday night activity.
Ben didn't have early morning meetings today so we got to go to church together! Yay! The primary kids sang and it was adorable! We came home from church had some lunch, took a 2 hour nap and then Ben pulled out some more surprises that he stores in our spare bathroom (that is the surprise room for holidays).
He wrote me an amazing poem (seriously he rocks my world) title "Angel of Mine" and gave me a bouqet of real flowers. Then he totally surprised me with a willow tree figurine titled "Angel of Mine" of a women holding a baby. This was a total shocker, because I have a hard time waiting for surprises and usually try and pry it out of him- but he totally shocked me with this!
Then he made dinner for us. The funny thing was how he presented it on the plate. He said, "Here is dinner for you in a canoe". Parmasean chicken, baked sweet potato and butternut squash, with the silverware as the oars. He makes me laugh every day!!

Ben's New Song
Ben came up with this song in the shower today. He composed it on noteflight.com. We hope to teach this song to our kids and come up with many more fun songs for them.
